Abstract

In recent years, the use of big data and intelligent data processing and visualization systems has become a modern trend in urban economic management. Many cities are actively introducing dashboards into the practice of municipal management and public control. The purpose of the article is to present the developed BI-monitoring system of Ekaterinburg industry using modern methods of data collection, processing and visualization hosted on a single digital platform RegScienceGRID. The author substantiates the prerequisites for creating interactive dashboards reflecting the development of industry in Ekaterinburg, discloses the requests of the main stakeholders of the BI-monitoring system of industry - the administration of the city of Ekaterinburg, large industrial companies, small manufacturing enterprises and scientific organizations of the city. The article presents the sources of open and closed information accessed by the digital platform, shows the modules of the dashboards of the BI-monitoring system, allowing to analyze the structural and temporal dynamics of industrial development, identify the features of the development of high-tech industry in Yekaterinburg, indicate the leaders of growth and decline, evaluate labor productivity in industry, the financial situation of enterprises, import and export potentials the industrial complex of the city. Based on the developed dashboards, the monitoring of industrial development trends in the city of Ekaterinburg was carried out, recommendations on promising market niches were given. .In the course of the study, such methods were used as the analysis of statistical data and analytical materials of the Ministry of Digital Development and Communications of the Sverdlovsk Region, local governments; content analysis of the content of feedback portals of the cities of the Sverdlovsk region; as well as an assessment of the satisfaction of portal applicants, collected automatically.
It is concluded that the introduction of feedback technologies can be considered as an important step for expanding civic participation. On the other hand, it is important to work out the procedural aspects of participation and their further “digitization” within a certain platform
