Metaverses in economics and public administration (ecosystem aspect)

Introduction. The article examines the concept of metaverses (MV) as a new universal form of socio-economic relations in the context of the transition to industry-society 5.0. The object of the study is metaverses in economics and public administration, and the subject is economic relations related to the introduction of metaverse technologies in the processes of private and public administration. The purpose of the study is to systematize the opportunities and risks of using MV for managing organizations and territories.
Materials and methods. The research uses methods of system-logical analysis, a structural-functional approach and the author's ecosystem management technology. The published scientific articles indexed in the Science Direct and RSCI databases were selected as the information base.
Results and conclusions. The study identified key opportunities for MV to transform business models, expand digital ecosystems, and improve management efficiency. The risks associated with the digital divide, privacy, and the need for institutional support have been highlighted. The role of MV in creating new forms of interaction and multisensory experience has been emphasized, as well as the potential for MV development at the level of socio-economic ecosystems.
Discussion. It is recommended to use the results of the study to form strategies for the implementation of MV in public and private management. Special attention is paid to the necessity for an interdisciplinary ecosystem approach and the development of a regulatory framework. The introduction of MV is considered as an important step towards sustainable socio-economic development and digital transformation. The article is recommended primarily to public and private management teams.
