HR service and personnel management in a modern industrial enterprise

Introduction. The article presents the results of the personnel analysis of an industrial enterprise. Based on the analysis, the problems in the organization's personnel management were identified, the solution of which should be the focus of the HR service. In a market economy, competent personnel management allows increasing labor productivity, improving the economic performance of an enterprise, and creating a positive image of the company. Therefore, the problem of effective personnel management is relevant for all market participants, including industrial enterprises.
Materials and Methods. The study was conducted at one of the enterprises of the PJSC MMK group of companies. The following methods were used to conduct the study: general scientific methods (observation, analysis, synthesis), economic and statistical methods, methods of the obtained data processing, an analytical survey, and others. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the theoretical and methodological substantiation of the importance, role and functions of the HR service in the context of modern production, as well as in the fact that as a result of the study, a set of measures has been developed aimed at improving the efficiency of the HR service in the field of recruitment and retention of personnel.
Results. A study of the personnel of an enterprise of the PJSC MMK group of companies has been conducted. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the main problems of the enterprise under study related to human resources are a high level of staff turnover and a shortage of personnel for certain blue-collar jobs. The article proposes measures aimed at solving these problems. The practical significance lies in the fact that the results of the study can be applied in practice in the process of personnel management of an industrial enterprise. The theoretical and methodological basis of the study was the fundamental provisions of sociology, management and labor economics, as well as the principles of system and functional analysis. The empirical basis of the study was the data from official documents, statistics and corporate reports on the activities of the organization, the results of a survey of the enterprise's employees.
