Abstract

Research purpose - to develop a conceptually new approach to the higher education programs implementation in the format of vertically integrated programs (bachelor’s and master’s degree) to match the regional development strategies and objectives.
Introduction. Territorial development trends in the frames of strategic goals (literature review - previous research on the key directions of municipal development - smart cities, territorial ecosystems, social media, youth policy, etc. Problem formulation of the need to train specialists in these fields).
Methodology. The research object is a set of objectives which the municipalities are facing, the research subject is the relationship between the stakeholders of the educational process of training specialists to solve the territorial tasks. Information base - scientific publications indexed in the RSCI, Scopus, Web of Science databases. Research algorithm: analysis of the existing educational programs, literature review, new professions atlases study, labor market analytical reviews, foresights with employers, program development.
Results. A conceptual scheme to implement an integrated program of a multidisciplinary bachelor’s and master’s degree (table of the main blocks of bachelor’s and master’s programs).
Discussion. Advantages and disadvantages of the vertically integrated “Integrated Territory Development” bachelor’s and master’s programs.
